The North Idaho
Health Network
(NIHN)
was formed in
1994 in response to the changing healthcare
environment. It is an organization comprised of
physicians, hospitals and employers in Benewah,
Bonner, Boundary, Kootenai and Shoshone counties.
The
NIHN
believes that healthcare is most efficiently managed
at the local level and by working together we can
achieve our goal of providing high quality,
cost-effective care to the people of our
communities.
Each county has
its own local organization which develops healthcare
systems designed to meet the needs of community
residents. Partnerships with
Blue Cross of Idaho and
Regence Blue Shield of Idaho provide the needed insurance
systems and expertise.
