Race to Lose: Weight Loss Challenge

North Idaho Health Network would like to congratulate the 224 Kootenai Health employees who participated in this years Race to Lose: Weight Loss Challenge. They lost a combined weight of 1,066.5 pounds! Race to Lose participants competed as individuals and in teams to see who could drop the most weight during the competition. All participants received a “Guide to Healthy Eating,” to help them in their quest for a healthy lifestyle. Richard Cannon was the biggest loser, dropping an astounding 71.2 pounds, 19.61% of his total body weight during the challenge. As a reward Richard received a $300 dollar cash prize. 

 
We would also like to recognize Janeen Berrier and Matthew Kulac. Janeen came in second place, losing 35 pounds and 18.7 percent of her total body weight. Matthew rounds out the top three, dropping 38 pounds, for a total of 17.79% percent of his total body weight. 
 
Benewah Community Hospital just kicked off its Race to Lose: Weight Loss Challenge. 24 percent of its staff has signed up to participate. Their first weigh in is Monday June 15th.
